RE: CUT CELL

My name is Kevin Patrick, and I made CUT CELL as an archive for thoughts and impressions on film and television, working as a film diary that can record small observations alongside longer essays.

I graduated from New York University's Cinema Studies program and completed grad work at Savannah College of Art & Design's Television Production program. After a rough transition into the real world, I began to write less and less on my true passions. I aim to change that now with this site. Basically, I want CUT CELL to act like one of those 5-gallon plastic buckets placed under a busted drainpipe to catch leaking wastewater.

I don't want to limit myself to just these mediums, as anything with the capability of telling stories or eliciting an emotional response deserves to be investigated. I'd like all of my preoccupations, from Hong Kong action movies to high-concept science fiction novels, detailed environmental narrative design to slow cinema. to be represented to some extent.
